Scam or fraud: Philips India — Television Replacement Offered with Lower Version in Warranty Period

Complaint Details:
My LED TV with model no 40PFL4958 suffered a display issue on 23rd Oct 2016 and we file a request with customer care for support on 24th October 2016. Complaint No for the same is PSUR2410160080, we further reminded for the resolution of the issue on 26th October 2016. It was informed by the service centre that display of the product is not working and panel has to be replaced. They said it will take 15 days time for them to get the part. They informed since the part is not available they will replace the product and it will take another 7-10 days to replace the product. We again filed the complaint on 17th November with complaint no. PSUR2410160080 and a reminder complaint again on 23rd November 2016 PSUR2311160029.

They came a with a solution last week for replacing the product with another model as the model code which I have is not available and is not in production anymmore. They offered to replace the product with another one of the lower version with less features.

This is against the law of land and cant be accepted at any cost. We spoke to BSM of Surat Mr. Jatin and Mr. Dhiraj, BSM of Ahmedabad where they bluntly said go ahead and file the case in Consumer Court and told if you want to accept the replace product as offered than accept, we will not give any other thing.
